I can never figure out a clever way to start these things..
Hope everyone is doing good! I miss you all so much!
Wow! Just realized that today marks 14 months.. Time is honestly flying by. I am becoming one of the older missionaries in the mission.. what the? crazy. I am enjoying my time as a missionary so much and the time is going by too fast. It is honestly such a blessing to be able to serve the Lord with everything I have for such a short time. I know I say it a lot, but I am so grateful to wear my Savior's name on my chest everyday.
Things are going just dandy here in Umeå! I absolutely LOVE it here! It is so beautiful here! Besides, the coldness, there is lots of trees and snow and lots of friendly people. The people here in Norrland are a lot friendlier than anywhere else I have been which is nice! And apparently, I made it just in time because it is starting to warm up. I think the coldest it's been since I have been here is -5 but it's usually around -2 or -3. But before I came, they said it was around the -20's and -30's so I'm glad it's starting to warm up a little. The North is just so pretty! Everything is more spread out and there are so many trees and lakes! It honestly feels magical hahaha I'm back in Skyrim country!
On Tuesday, I said goodbye to Elder Williams and the Göteborg crew and stepped on a plane to come here to Umeå! I am here with Elder Luke. Elder Luke is super awesome and a great missionary and I look forward to working with him! We are also serving in Umeå with two other missionaries. Elders Loerscher (or however you spell it) and Burgin. They are both super awesome. When we got here, we helped out the other elders with their bags and then we hit the streets! We contacted for awhile and found some interested people.
Yesterday I was able to meet the ward and they are some of the nicest people in the whole world and they really love and take care of the missionaries! I was able to bear my testimony in church yesterday and that was an amazing experience and I felt the spirit very strong!
A lot of this week was meeting with people and also geting the zone up and running. We have some new district leaders we are working with as well so we are taking up needs and concerns in the zone and trying to resolve them in the best way.
I am so so sorry guys but we didn't get very much time today and we have to go right now to a members place! I am sorry for the poor quality of this email but just know that I am doing good and that I am happy and loving my mission!! :) This church is true and nothing will ever change that. Have a good week everyone.
Nothing worth it comes easy.

I'm so happy you enjoy the north of Sweden. I'm praying that you will have the chance to see the northern lights. Umeå members are lucky to have you up there. It will be great experience for you. And most people up north are nice. keep up the good work and keep wearing that name tag with pride!
ReplyDeleteAwesome email and gorgeous photos! I am so very happy for him. Love the pic of him teaching the statue. : )
